An energy company having its base at Antananarivo Madagascar is the major power producer in Madagascar Island and supplies power to the grid as IPP.

In order to meet the shortage of power evidenced due to the expansion project, the management decided to opt for the LFO based 2 X 2.5 MWE power plant and ordered the same from UNIDAAN FZ LLC.

UNIDAAN FZ LLC , Located at Dubai sourced the generators from DLD China and assigned the electrical and Instrumentation system supply to GPCE.

Major challenges were pointed below:

Different generators and different governing systems were to be harmonized for smooth load sharing and load dispatch..

Train the operators on new system.

The system was designed and supplied with Schneider M340 based PLC and DIEF controllers.

The grid monitoring and load shedding was enabled through ARCTEQ monitoring relays and ARCTEQ advanced power monitors.

The system is commissioned.
